The purpose of this scheme is to ensure that all students have the necessary resources for their education. The scheme will save parents/caregivers money and the need to shop for Schoolbooks and other resources. The scheme provides the following package for a set fee. It is not available in part.
In return for a hiring fee the scheme provides:
- Hire of all textbooks and class sets
- All printed class notes, excluding colour photocopies and student’s personal photocopying
- Student Organiser / Student ID Card / School Magazine
- The provision and maintenance of large equipment items such as School boats/marine equipment
- Audio Visual equipment
- Provision and maintenance of computers and associated peripherals such as printers/scanners etc.
- Materials used for classroom projects
- Invitations to Senior Formal and Year Level Socials
THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS APPLY TO THE SCHEME
- Students will supply their own personal requirements – as per appropriate year level Stationery Requirements list.
- Certain subjects will attract an additional fee. Please refer to the Parent Caregiver Consent form, which details these amounts.
- Students may be responsible for the full cost of books and resources that are negligently damaged or lost before any further issues can be made.
- The Head of Department should be immediately notified of the loss or damage of any textbook or resource.
- All textbooks and resources provided under the scheme remain the property of the School and must be returned when a student leaves or at the end of the School year.
- All scheme monies received by the School on behalf of the Parents and Citizens Association will be banked in the School’s general account, which is subject to annual audit.
- If a student starts at the School during the year, the fee is reduced on a pro-rata basis.
- If a student leaves the School having paid the charge, a pro-rata refund will be made. The refund is based on the full charge being government allowance and parent/caregiver charge, less the cost of consumed materials and/or the cost of replacing lost or damaged textbooks or resources.
