A number of resources are available for young people as they explore their options after secondary schooling. The Commonwealth Government has developed a number of useful websites to assist young people.

Going to Uni (Scholarships)

Application to tertiary institutions is usually made through the state's tertiary admission centre. The Qld Tertiary Admissions Centre is know as QTAC.

Tertiary Institutions include UNIVERSITIES, Institutes of TAFE and private colleges.

Want to apply for interstate universities? You will need to apply through the University Admission Centres in each state. Details can be found on the websites. NSW & ACT VIC SA NT(Charles Darwin University) WA For the Australian Maritime College, you need to apply through QTAC. The University of TAS ph 1 300 363 864.

Some courses in medicine and dentistry require students to have sat for the UMAT exam.

The Qld Studies Authority provides a variety of information and support for career development through their website.
