Junior Secondary

Our promise to you

Your child can look forward to an exciting journey where they will be encouraged to develop their unique skills and abilities by teachers whose single focus is "Your Child's Success".

Future Ready

Critical to the long-term success of your child is the ability to communicate well and to problem-solve.  Your child's confidence will grow as they develop literacy, numeracy and essential life skills in a fun and positive environment. To keep pace with the rapidly changing world, today's young people need to value learning and have the ability to acquire and transfer knowledge and skills. At Coombabah we offer your child a wide breadth of curriculum options that are aligned with our Statement of Purpose - To build positive partnerships and pathways.

Strong Foundations

Your child's journey through school and beyond, should be a seamless progression where each new step is met with confidence, excitement and enthusiasm.  Our active involvement with Coombabah, Biggera Waters and Arundel State Schools and the broader community, means they can take their next step with the full knowledge of what is ahead of them and without fears or concerns.

Healthy and Happy Students

Coombabah provides your child with a safe and caring environment and an extensive support team who are ready to guide them in their daily and life decisions.  Coombabah offers your child a wonderful environment for them to develop resiliency, good habits and the ability to make well considered decisions.

Positive Culture

Your child can expect regular acknowledgement for displaying positive behaviour, especially in regard to our three expectations - 'Be Safe', 'Be Responsible and Respectful' and 'Be a Productive Learner'. A comprehensive recognition system based around our mascot, Posbee ensures that 'doing the right thing' is recognised and rewarded.

Beyond the Classroom

At Coombabah your child will have extensive opportunities to develop knowledge and skills through numerous extra-curricular activities. Beyond the classroom your child will participate in sport, excursions, eisteddfods and work experience to name but a few. Our own purpose build iGniTe activities such as leadership, instrumental music, writers' chapter, glee, robotics, debating, chess and cheerleading provide challenging and enriching experiences.
