Humanities

​We offer wide range of subjects encompassing areas of study in history, geography, tourism and business.

Year 7, 8 and 9

Students study a full year Humanities course based on the Australian Curriculum consisting of one semester each of History and Geography incorporating topics including:

• Medieval Europe

• The Ancient World

• The Spanish conquest of the Americas

• Landforms and landscapes

• Liveability
  

• Movement of Peoples

• Biomes and Food Security

 Year 10

All students are required to study one semester of History based on the Australian Curriculum incorporating:

• World War II

• Rights and freedoms

Students interested in following a pathway to university should also take a second semester of Humanities that includes Geography.

Year 11 and 12

Students may choose from a wide variety of subject choices including Geography, Accounting, Business, Tourism, Ancient History, Social and Community Studies.
