We believe that Junior Secondary is the platform for a successful journey through high school, starting with a seamless transition from primary school through to preparing for the senior years.
We provide a safe, supportive and disciplined school environment with an extensive support team who are ready to guide students with developing resiliency, good habits and the ability to make well-considered decisions.
Our Junior Secondary framework describes an approach to ensuring student's wellbeing and learning needs are met at each stage of their Junior school journey.
Beyond the classroom, your child will also have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, including:

Year 7
The focus of Year 7 is a successful transition to high school. We work closely with our local partner primary schools and enjoy the opportunity to work together to provide the best education possible for our local children to ensure the move from Year 6 to Year 7 is seamless and students generally feel confident.
Throughout Year 7, students settle into the routine of high school and feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Students are introduced to our requirements in terms of their effort and behaviour in class and our high expectations of their behaviour within the school and as members of the school community with particular emphasis on our school-wide positive behaviour for learning expectations:
- Be Respectful and Responsible
- Be a Productive Learner
- Be Safe
Year 8
During Year 8, students will build on the foundations established in Year 7 with a focus on high levels of engagement in their studies. Students are learning the value of getting involved in school and community activities through their pastoral care program 'My Community Project'.
Students continue to take responsibility for their own learning through goal setting and reflection each term as part of their 'Passport to Success'.
Year 9
Throughout Year 9, students will prepare themselves for entering the senior phase of school. They will be literate and numerate, as evidenced by their academic achievement in English and Mathematics. Students will also have a clear understanding of what is required of them and execute those tasks well.
The Year 9 Pastoral Care program will focus on preparing students for senior schooling in terms of social and emotional wellbeing, understanding the value of education and planning for senior years.
