Join us for our first tour of 2024 on Tuesday March 5 at 4pm where you and your family can see our campus in action, meet staff and learn how Coombabah State High prepares students for successful pathways and exciting futures.  

In addition, families of students currently in Years 4, 5 and 6 are invited to attend our Year 7 Information Evening where we outline the key aspects of a Coombabah SHS education.

Coombabah State High School has developed a solid reputation as a leading secondary school in the northern Gold Coast area, since it was founded in 1986.

Underpinned by a broad range of facilities, quality teachers and strong leadership, Coombabah provides an inclusive education for students who are looking for pathways beyond school to university, TAFE, apprenticeships, employment and more.

Students who wish to excel in Academics, Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Sport and Exercise Science can apply for our Ignite Excellence Programs and undertake tailored curriculum and guidance by specialist teachers.  For exceptional sporting students, we invite their application to our High Performing Sports Academy whereby they will be mentored specifically at an elite level and be able to train in conjuction with the Runaway Bay sporting precinct staff.

Our Principal, Mr Grant Stephensen, believes every student has the potential to be their best and do their best when there is a strong parent-school relationship and students have the right attitude and environment to thrive.
