​Coombabah Cup 2026 – More Than an Athletics Carnival

The Coombabah Cup returns in Term 3, Week 1, bringing together athletics, novelty events, house competition and school spirit in a whole-school celebration.

This year's event offers something for every student. Whether competing in athletics, participating in novelty activities, supporting your House or enjoying the carnival atmosphere, every student can contribute to their House's success.

Event Schedule

Thursday 16 July

Discus Nominated Event

Students who have nominated for Discus will compete during class time.

Friday 17 July

Coombabah Cup – Whole School Event

Time: 8:55am – 2:55pm

Please note that all early timetabled class starts and finishes are cancelled on this day.

House Competition

Students will compete for valuable House points throughout the day.

Year 12 students will participate in a themed dress-up day. The theme will be announced shortly.

Students in Years 7–11 are encouraged to wear their House colours and show their House pride.

The question is simple:

Four Houses. One Cup. Which House will claim Coombabah Cup glory?

Activities and Events

The Coombabah Cup is more than a traditional athletics carnival.

In addition to athletics events, students can participate in a range of novelty activities and competitions, including:

  • Futsal World Cup
  • 3v3 Competition
  • Botcha
  • Line Dancing
  • Ring Toss
  • Sideshow Alley activities
  • Additional games and activities

More events will be announced closer to the day.

Food and Refreshments

Food and refreshments will be available throughout the event, including:

  • Gelato
  • Canteen food and drinks

Get Involved

The Coombabah Cup is an opportunity to compete, participate, connect with friends and earn points for your House.

We encourage all students to get involved and make the most of this exciting whole-school event.​
